Back to school is an exciting time for style-obsessed students. It's the perfect time to try out the new fall trends, or reinvent your look thanks to the funds you earned at your summer job.

In the '70s, college style was particularly on point. Just take a look at the photo below of a female student on the campus quad. While color-coordinated books make the best accessory of all, her plaid skirt, matching turtleneck and gold necklace only enhanced this cute outfit.
