Busy Philipps Lands In The Hospital While Celebrating BFF Michelle Williams’ Birthday! Oops!

Not exactly how Busy Philipps imagined celebrating her BFF’s birthday!!!

Michelle Williams was celebrating her 37th birthday last night in Boston alongside Philipps when Busy started having horrible pains in her lower abdomen — bad enough that the pair decided she should go to the hospital to see what was going on!

And so, after a long time at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, doctors determined something pretty crazy: Busy’s ovary had flipped over!!!

It’s a medical condition called ‘torsion,’ and it can be serious — but luckily for Philipps, her body actually flipped the ovary back by itself!

She shared the entire ordeal on Instagram (below):

Last night ended super weird. But if you listen to my podcast, you know our advice is always, don’t be a hero, go to the doctor. Anyway, I had a crazy excruciating pain in my lower right side and after a long time at Mass Gen, it was determined my ovary had flipped over- it’s called torsion. Mine flipped back by itself and I’m ok but sometimes if it doesn’t you have to get surgery or you can lose your ovary(which actually happened to a really good friend of mine) Anyway, my point of posting this was I felt like an idiot for going to the hospital but ultimately, going was the right move! It always is! Even if they say you’re fine and send you on your way! And a huge thank you to the amazing doctors and nurses who took care of me! ❤️❤️❤️A post shared by Busy Philipps (@busyphilipps) on Sep 10, 2017 at 7:39am PDT

Here are some other highlights of her night before the health issues (below):

Migrant death toll rises after clampdown on east European borders

Deaths in Mediterranean have risen with migrants opting for dangerous routes and exposing themselves to violence, says IOM

More than 22,500 migrants have reportedly died or disappeared globally since 2014 – more than half of them perishing while attempting to cross the Mediterranean, according to a study by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).

A clampdown on Europe’s eastern borders has forced migrants to choose more dangerous routes as the death toll in the Mediterranean continues to rise despite a drop in the overall number of arrivals, data compiled by the UN refugee agency shows.

Gucci Confirms Collaboration With Dapper Dan

It’s official: The New York Times confirms that Gucci and Dapper Dan are coming together for a collaborative capsule collection, but it doesn’t stop there. The fashion label is even helping the legendary Harlem tailor, whose shop was shut down in 1992 for multiple copyright infringement violations, reopen his uptown atelier. And it’s going to furnish him with upscale fabrics with which to do as he pleases.

The partnership comes shortly after the Italian fashion house was accused of copying one of Dapper Dan’s designs for Olympian Diane Dixon—a puffy-shouldered fur bomber originally emblazoned with Louis Vuitton monograms. In response, creative director Alessandro Michele clarified that it wasn’t a copy, but rather an homage to the tailor’s work.

Dapper Dan—born Daniel Day—took the jacket as homage initially, telling the NYT: “I was just excited about it being there. The part about appropriation, Alessandro and I are part of two parallel universes. The magic that took place as a result of what he did was bringing these two parallel universes together. That opened a dialogue between us when we finally got in touch with each other. I found out how similar our experiences were, the way he grew up and the way I grew up, and how he was influenced by me. I was never apprehensive about what took place. The public was more up in arms than me.”

The new Dapper Dan tailor shop—which will be powered by Gucci—is set to open at the end of this year. His collaborative capsule collection with the house, including a campaign shot in Harlem and featuring him prominently, will debut next spring.

Pregnant Teen In Critical Condition After Being Shot In Head In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A pregnant teen was in critical condition Sunday after being shot in the head in broad daylight.

Shots rang out around 12:45 p.m. at Dean Street and Howard Avenue in Brooklyn.

“As soon as I heard the gunshots, I opened the window and heard the screaming over there,” one neighbor told 1010 WINS’ Samantha Liebman. “Then I see her laying on the floor.”

Friends of the 19-year-old victim said they were shocked and didn’t think she was the intended target.

“I was there when she was on the floor, and I was with her other two friends. I just started crying. I lost it,” a witness said.

The teen was taken to Brookdale Medical Center in critical condition.

After the show, Wang brought back #WANGFEST, and even alluded to the party’s over-the-top nature in the show, featuring models like Jenner wearing headpieces relating to the designer’s infamous afterparties. Indeed, attendees were given Shake Shack burgers prior to the show starting, and once the gate to the afterparty opened, guests were greeted with a moon bounce, an igloo featuring ice sculptures and Red Bull-fueled cocktails, a Dunkin Donuts feast, and plenty more. Wang even ordered a ton of Domino’s pizza at the end of the night to feed hungry guests.
