Jets Score 5 In The 2nd To Defeat Devils

WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — Patrik Laine, Jacob Trouba and Matt Hendricks scored in a 95-second span, and the Winnipeg Jets beat the New Jersey Devils 5-2 on Saturday for their fourth straight win.

Kyle Connor and Mathieu Perreault also scored during Winnipeg’s five-goal second period, and Connor Hellebuyck made 34 saves. Mark Scheifele and Joel Armia each had two assists, helping the Jets improve to 7-2-1 at home this season.

Devils goalie Cory Schneider played two periods and stopped 17 shots. Keith Kinkaid had 12 saves in the third.

Brian Gibbons and Will Butcher scored for New Jersey (11-5-3), which dropped to 6-2-2 on the road. Butcher also had an assist.

A scoreless first period was followed by five goals in the first half of the second.

Connor rushed the net and sent a Blake Wheeler rebound past Schneider at 5:51, but Gibbons tied it with his ninth goal of the season.

The Jets then put away with the Devils with an impressive scoring spree.

Laine tipped in Nikolaj Ehlers’ shot at 8:06, extending his point streak to eight games with his 10th of the season. He has six goals and three assists during the streak, which equals his longest from this rookie year last season.

Trouba got his first goal of the season at 8:41 with a shot over Schneider’s glove, and Hendricks used a feed from Perreault behind the net to make it 4-1 at 9:41.

Hendricks returned the favor later in the period, setting up Perreault in front of the net for his third goal at 18:18.

New Jersey actually led the shots on goal 28-22 after the middle period.

Butcher got his first career NHL goal at 7:14 of the third. The defenseman also has 14 assists.

Donald Trump Literally Cannot Stop Thinking About Hillary Clinton

Even though it’s now been MORE THAN A GOD DAMN CALENDAR YEAR since Donald Trump won the election here in the United States, he literally cannot stop thinking about — and tweeting about — Hillary Clinton.

For no good reason, Trump got up super-ass early in the morning today, and used his fat and short fingers to pound out a thoughtless tweet about Hillary just as he’s done so many days over the past year.

Here is today’s word vomit, all in 140 280 characters… or less (below):

Sigh.

Our expectations are really, really, really low for The Donald anyways, but do you think he might be able to, like, focus on the task at hand for two seconds?

Hillary isn’t going to run in three years, and she has no interest in doing so. But Trump is the leader of the free world now. What if he tried, you know, actually leading???

Just a thought!!!

More Disturbing Bullying Accusations Levied Against Bijou Phillips — Details HERE

We’re still reeling after all the news came out days ago about Mean Girls actor Daniel Franzese being bullied and shamed so badly by Bijou Phillips on the set of their film Bully… and now, more allegations are coming out.

Franzese went on actress Heather Matarazzo‘s Shut Up And Listen podcast a couple days ago to talk about bullying and the industry in general, and during the show, Matarazzo opened up about her own disturbing experiences with Bijou Phillips.

On the podcast (which you can listen to in full HERE), Matarazzo recalls a particularly bad memory from a decade ago while filming Hostel: Part II, where a producer had offered her pills to help with jet lag before filming one day.

Matarazzo, who had been sober and clean for a year at that point after previously struggling with pills, kept turning them down to avoid the temptation, opting instead to deal with the jet lag.

She then recounts how Phillips, seeing all this, allegedly grabbed Matarazzo around the neck and choked her while saying (below):

“I’m going to make you relapse on this film.”

What in the fuck?!

The whole thing, and some more deeper discussion about bullying and the industry in general, is worth a listen on the podcast itself, as Franzese pointed out in a tweet earlier this week.

Yikes!!!

Thoughts, Perezcious readers?!
