After unveiling the V8 and V12 Vantage S Red Bull Editions earlier this year, Aston Martin now unveils a brand new variation of the vehicle with the Aston Martin Racing Vantage GTE.

With the car’s design based off the 2019 Vantage coupe, the Vantage GTE is equipped with a 4.0-liter Mercedes-Benz V8 engine. Although the company did not fully reveal its power figures, Aston Martin does claim that the GTE makes in excess of 536 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, which is more than the standard Vantage.

The Vantage GTE has already undergone around 8000 miles of testing, including a test at Sebring and a 30-hour run at Jarama in Spain, however, it’s still in development, since the company plans on running it in the World Endurance Championship’s (WEC) 2018/2019 transitional super series. Other key additions include GTE’s suspension developed in partnership with Ohlins, brakes coming from Alcon and Michelin tires used instead of the old Vantage GTE’s Dunlops.

Set to make its official debut at the race tracks in 2018, Aston Martin will retain four drivers it used last season too, consisting of Le Mans winners Jony Adam and Darren Turner to be in one car, while the other pair includes 2016 WEC GTE Pro champs, Danes Nicki Thiim and Marco Sørensen.

President of Aston Martin Racing, David King shared, “Motorsport is fundamental to the DNA of Aston Martin and our commitment to the FIA World Endurance Championship is stronger than ever. This is a golden era for GT racing and today’s launch of the new Vantage GTE wil ensure that Aston Martin Racing remains at the forefront of the world’s greatest endurance series. The team has enjoyed incredible success over recent years with the outgoing V8 Vantage GTE and while this will hold fond memories for me, I can’t wait to see the new car race in anger at Spa next year and continue to write motorsport history.”

Now check out Paul McCartney’s Aston Martin that can be yours for about $2 million.

If you recently binge-watched season two of Stranger Things, not only are you not alone (duh), but you’re in good company. In a recent interview with Variety, Kendrick Lamar disclosed that the last show he rolled through was indeed the ever-popular Netflix original. He gave it a thumbs up, by the way.

In addition to Stranger Things, Lamar noted that the most recent great movie he saw was Get Out, for the entertainment value as well as the substance. When transitioning, K Dot then dished on being inspired by the likes of Tupac, Sade, Anita Baker and Snoop Dogg, while stating that Snoop has the greatest verse of all time.

Also, we find out the Lamar is a fan of actually buying physical records, and that if he wasn’t rapping, he would probably be dabbling in astrology.

Uber covered up a hack that compromised 57 million accounts

Uber was hacked. 50 million rider accounts were accessed. 7 million driver accounts as well. And Uber paid $100,000 to cover it all up.

Uber has revealed that, in late 2016, two hackers stole email addresses and phone numbers from Uber rider accounts, and the license numbers from U.S. driver accounts. Uber claims no credit card information, location data, or social security numbers were compromised. Yet, instead of disclosing the attack when it happened, Uber paid the hackers $100,000 to delete the data and keep it quiet.

From Bloomberg:

Uber said it believes the information was never used but declined to disclose the identities of the attackers.

“None of this should have happened, and I will not make excuses for it,” Dara Khosrowshahi, who took over as chief executive officer in September, said in an emailed statement. “We are changing the way we do business.”

Uber’s co-founder and former CEO, Travis Kalanick, learned of the attack a year ago.

Here’s how the hack went down: Two attackers accessed a private GitHub coding site used by Uber software engineers and then used login credentials they obtained there to access data stored on an Amazon Web Services account that handled computing tasks for the company. From there, the hackers discovered an archive of rider and driver information. Later, they emailed Uber asking for money, according to the company.

The company claims it took steps to lock down its data and prevent any further unauthorized access.

Total Divas Star Nikki Bella Reveals ‘Terrifying’ Moment She Was Almost Abducted By ‘Half Naked’ Creep When She Was 15

Nikki Bella may seem too tough to be scared or humiliated by any man now… but ever wonder how she got that way?

The Total Divas star opened up on this week’s Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia podcast about some of the incidents that drove her to develop such a hard shell — and how only fiancé John Cena has been able to soften it.

The most harrowing story is from when Nikki was just 15 years old, and some creep tried to abduct her. It’s like something out of horror movie!

She recalled:

“I remember walking home one day from school and this car pulled up behind me really slow and it gave me a really weird feeling and all of a sudden it skimmed me and the man was half naked and tried to pull me into his car and saying crazy things to me. And it was terrifying. I remember like fighting, running to the nearest house, screaming, crying. Like praying the person was home because I didn’t know I was being chased. Being a 15-year-old girl, that year I went through so much and it like broke me.”

Thankfully she made it through that one unscathed — physically anyway.

But the psychological torment continued in a less mortal danger, more mortifying incident that same year. She revealed:

“And then, actually this hits the nail on the head that I literally went into depression, who I thought were two guy friends took a picture up my skirt at school and then passed it around. I’ll never forget walking into school that day and everyone’s staring at me and I was like, ‘Why is everyone looking at me?’ And like pointing and laughing. I’m like, ‘What the heck?’ Because I was wearing a thong with my skirt… Imagine a photo like that.”

Nikki said that was the biggest shove for her down into the hole of depression:

“I was just destroyed and embarrassed and humiliated. I never wanted to be seen. I literally went home, locked myself in my room for like three days and refused to come out…it made me so depressed and I was so over men too. I think that’s what started to give me independence but it gave me a very big shell. Like putting my emotions away and locking it up and never showing it again.”

Thankfully, one man had the strength to crack that shell and let the true, happy Nikki come out. And that man is…

Nikki said:

“John has really brought that out in me. So I think it was like the first time people saw me give such goo goo eyes or be so happy and giddy. He would start to break it… John, I have this giddiness with him and I get lost in his big ole arms and I’m swept off my feet. I think my mom is kind of this way too. We’re just such strong women. My mom’s been through so much, so I think that’s where I got it from.”

And you thought looking at John Cena helped with your depression!

For real though, we’re so happy for Nikki, especially after going through such awful treatment by men in the past!
