Miley Cyrus is truly an angel!
In a recent Instagram Live video, The Voice season 13 contestant Janice Freeman — who was on Team Miley and ended up finishing in 11th place — revealed the Malibu singer helped her in a significant way with housing.
An emotional Freeman said:
“Miley, you are my dawg, like my best friend, and I will defend you to the bitter end… You got somebody that got your back… I’m so overwhelmed, and I need y’all to understand that it is time to go into 2018 believing God for real. Y’all don’t understand that you see these people on TV—you see things happening and all of that—but you don’t understand that these people are real. Her heart is so huge and she allows God to use her to bless my life.”

Despite reports that Liam Hemsworth‘s flame bought the contestant a house, Freeman clarifies that Cyrus found her placement in a two-bedroom apartment, and then paid for the deposit and six months rent on a permanent residence.
Thank you ALL but she found us placement until we found permanent housing, gave me the deposit, covered me for 6 months so I can get on my feet! @MileyCyrus you are one of my closest friends and what you did for me and my family Im praying GOD gives you the desire of your heart!

Kim Kardashian took to social media to praise her son Saint West, for being “strong,”
Mrs. West reports, Saint spent three nights in the hospital recovering from pneumonia. Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs which can be deadly, especially in the case of infants and small children.
Both Kim and Kanye West stayed at their son’s bedside during his time of need. As parents first, they shared overnight duties.
On Tuesday, Kim let fans and supporters know that Saint has since recovered and is now home resting.
She shared a photo of herself cradling her son. The caption read:
My precious baby boy is so strong! After spending three nights in the hospital & seeing my baby get multiple IV’s and hooked up to oxygen machines, our end of year was challenging,” she wrote on Instagram. “Pneumonia is so scary. I just want to thank every nurse & doctor out there who works so hard around the clock. We are so grateful for you all!” She is confident Saint will soon be back to his normal self. “He’s so resilient I’m sure he will still say the ambulance ride was cool! she continued.
With the health scare settled, it is a new year and the West Family can now turn their attention towards welcoming their newest addition to the family.
Unlike siblings North and Saint West, the power couple’s third child will be born via surrogate. This baby is due this month. We are eager to see which parent the child favors.
All in all, we continue to wish young Saint West, a speedy recovery. We also want to encourage everyone to bundle up with extra layers of clothing during this winter season. Temperatures across the nation have reached record lows. Infants, small children and the elderly are most at risk for developing pneumonia.

SAYVILLE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — A blizzard warning will soon be in effect for Suffolk County, and people are getting ready for the worst.
As CBS2’s Carolyn Gusoff reported, that means long lines at the grocery stores.
The lines snaked through Suffolk County supermarkets as shoppers cleared shelves of bread and other perishables. There was a 20-minute wait to pay for just a gallon of milk.
“A panic – people are in a panic,” one shopper said.
“They’re packed in there. The lines are unbelievable,” another said. “People are buying everything because of the snow.”
CHECK: Forecast & Alerts
With Suffolk County bracing for the highest snow totals, shoppers are not waiting for the first flakes to fall. They are stocking up and getting ready to hunker down with storm essentials – the definition of which is open to interpretation.
“Bread and milk, vegetables, and sausage to make spaghetti,” one shopper said.
“Cookies, chips, oatmeal, essentials – definitely,” another said.
At Brinkmann Hardware stores too, the shovels and snowblowers are lined up – as are anxious shoppers.
“Everyone’s come for ice melt, snow shovels, heat cables and whatever they can get their hands on,” said Brinkmann’s manager J.C. Pruser.
“What are they calling it – a bomb blizzard or something like that? So yeah, it’s scary,” said Deb Lentini of Holbrook. “I’m getting some safe stuff for the pets, and my washing machine froze, so I need new pipes.”
“Salt and shovels — I love the snow, so I’m ready for it,” another customer said.
“I start my snowblower yesterday, so it works,” another said.
The first storm of 2018 promises to deliver strong gusts of wind too.
“You always worry when there’s a lot of wind blowing that trees will come down,” said Sally Connelly of Sayville. “I have a big tree, so I worry.”
Power is also a concern for PSEG Long Island, which is monitoring the storm closely and adding staff.
And even with all the preparation, officials in Suffolk County say the smallest change in the track of the storm could mean a big difference in snow totals. That is why officials and residents say they hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.
Officials in Suffolk County are urging residents to get cars off the roads and into driveways so they can properly plow the streets.
A blizzard warning will take effect for Suffolk County at 1 a.m. Thursday. Monmouth and Ocean counties in New Jersey are also affected.
Forecasters say there may be six to nine inches of snow with as much as a foot possible in some spots and winds gusting as high as 45 mph to 50 mph.

The post Did A CNN Anchor Smoke Pot on Live TV On New Year’s Eve? appeared first on High Times.
Many house-dwelling Americans sat on their couches on New Year’s Eve, getting shit-faced drunk and waiting for the ball to drop to signify the coming of 2018. And many of those Americans were shocked to see people getting exceptionally stoned on live television. But did one CNN anchor smoke pot on live TV?
Ringing In The New Year Right
During CNN’s coverage of the year-end festivities in Times Square, the cable news network aired an additional live segment from Denver. That’s where anchor Randi Kaye and several enthusiastic members of high society held and interacted with legal marijuana in front of the cameras. But did the CNN anchor smoke pot on live TV?
The piece showed Kaye holding a joint for the audience to see, shouting, “This is for you Andy!” as a nod to CNN’s Andy Cohen, who hosted the New Year’s Eve show along with Anderson Cooper.
Kaye even assisted one guy in firing up his gas mask bong in front of millions of television viewers. In the grand scheme in the fight to end prohibition, it was a legendary sight for stoned eyes.
But many of the folks on the other end of the television set were less impressed. Believe it or not, some were not happy with CNN’s willingness to openly embrace the marijuana culture.
Some took to their trusty Twitter accounts to express their outrage. But was it warranted? Did the CNN anchor smoke pot on live TV? Whether she did or not wasn’t the point to these angry individuals. They argued that since marijuana remains illegal at the federal level, CNN should face consequences for their permissive move. They called for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to swoop in and punish the news organization for promoting drug use on national TV.
Others seemed somewhat unnerved that CNN televised pot smoking activities. Especially since thousands of people are still in prison for doing much of the same.
A few Americans voiced concerns over the televised pot smoking leading to the end of a credible nation.
“You are now the high news network. Congratulations on destroying what credibility you had left with middle America,” one angry citizen posted on Twitter.
The day following the broadcast, Fox News host Laura Ingraham flipped out on social media, posting on Twitter that all of this legal weed business would lead to “more potheads, increase in cases of schizophrenia, psychosis, more impaired driving… as #BigWeed makes billions.”
Of course, marijuana advocates crawled out of the woodwork to chastise her for the negative comments. Many folks gave Ingraham hell for having such a narrow view of the subject, while others, including her fans, encouraged her to give legal marijuana more consideration.
“Sorry Laura, I love you & your conservative positions but pot is sooooo much safer than an unconscious, how did I get home, booze binge. I know from experience and never, ever went into a slurred & unconscious state with pot,” wrote one of her followers.
Final Hit: Did A CNN Anchor Smoke Pot on Live TV?
CNN host Anderson Cooper witnessed the broadcast unfold with the rest of the nation. He has since come out to defend his colleague.
Cooper told Stephen Colbert earlier this week that Kaye’s decision to cover the New Year’s parties with marijuana was not a problem for him. He said: “First of all, it’s legal in Colorado. We are grown adults and she did not smoke obviously. The whole thing surprised me as much as anyone else.”
The longtime CNN host later joked with Colbert about “not really” being surprised that legal marijuana was becoming increasingly widespread across the country.
“Think about California,” he said. “I mean it makes sense.”
Interestingly, Smart Approaches to Marijuana, the anti-pot legalization group that spends its days fighting a battle it has already lost, recently took to its Twitter account to ask the FCC and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to investigate CNN’s controversial broadcast. So far, the federal government has not said whether it intends to go after the network.
Considering the risqué subject matter that makes it on network television these days, it is doubtful that any government agency would dare stand up to make noise over the segment. But to answer the question: no, Randi Kaye did not actually smoke anything on camera.

Russian daily’s report points to country’s single biggest loss of military hardware since launching airstrikes in Syria in late 2015
At least seven Russian planes were destroyed by rebel shelling at the Khmeimim airbase in Syria on 31 December, the Russian daily Kommersant reported late on Wednesday, citing two sources.
If confirmed, the attack would mark the single biggest loss of military hardware for Russia since it launched airstrikes in Syria in autumn 2015. More than 10 servicemen were wounded in the shelling by “radical Islamists”, the report said.
