Hip-hop recording artist, J. Cole (Jermaine Lamarr Cole), and his fourth studio album, 4 Your Eyez Only, has just gone certified platinum according to RIAA — the Recording Industry Association of America.
Reaching at least one million copies sold since its debut on December 9, the achievement is much more noticeable since none of the album’s 10 songs feature any contribution from other artists. It’s also worth noting that the rapper’s previous album, Forest Hills Drive from 2014, went platinum without the appearance of other artists as well.
Subtly showcasing his impressive certification solo, 4 Your Eyez Only includes production from Frank Dukes, Vinylz, Boi-1da, Cardiak, Elite and others.
Don’t forget, on Saturday, April 15, J. Cole will be premiering his second documentary with HBO.
