When you average a triple-double on the way to earning your first NBA MVP honor, certain perks have a way of finding you. Accordingly, all of Russell Westbrook‘s hard work is continuing to pay off, as the OKC Thunder guard has just signed the biggest shoe deal in Jordan Brand history.
According to ESPN’s Nick DePaula, Westbrook — who is in currently in the middle of a JB contract which began back in 2013 and still has five years remaining — has inked a 10-year extension with the Jumpman, accounting for the largest singing for a Jordan Brand athlete to date.
For now, an exact dollar amount has yet to be revealed, but the new deal will keep Russ with Jordan Brand through the 2025-26 NBA season and even beyond due to a clause for annual donations from JB to be made to Westbrook’s “Why Not?” Foundation. In short, Russell will remain part of the Jordan family post retirement.
In addition, fans can look forward to Westbrook’s first on-court signature sneaker being “unlike anything that Jordan Brand has done before,” per DePaula.
