Search Is On For Missing FDNY EMT From Long Island

BALDWIN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — Authorities are searching for an EMT who went missing on Long Island.

Officials said Rema Rodriguez never showed up for her scheduled shift at FDNY Station 7 on Sept. 1.

Rodriguez was last seen at her home in Baldwin, according to authorities.

The EMT suffers from depression and post traumatic stress disorder and is in need of medication, WCBS 880’s Sophia Hall reported.

According to the Silver Alert that was issued for the 32-year-old, Rodriguez has made threats to harm herself in the past.

Rodriguez owns a 2008 silver Honda CRV with the license plate number FXP8875. She is described as 5’6″ and about 140 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair, and has tattoos on her ankle, right arm and left hip.
